Main Skills

I was the main designer on this project, entrusted to bring the essence of its predecessor Ready Chef Go! to the Discord platform

Adapting to Desktop

I was responsible for investigating every single aspect of the game as it was on Snapchat, to reinvent them for a new format and audience.

Adaptive  UI/UX

I was responsible for rethinking the user experience and UI layout to fit a multitude of screen ratios and sizes. The intention was for the game to feel native regardless of the device it was played on.

Multiplayer

I worked on adapting the multiplayer structure of the game to suit a completely different audience, with different expectations and session times.

User Insight

I worked closely with the in house user insights team to better understand what the new audience desired, and how it could be applied to the game.

Knowing The Audience

The team wanted to create an experience that felt native to the new platform, and that started with trying to understand the new audience

The team and I managed a Discord community for our old and new players, where they could directly interact with us and we could ask them what they wanted.

We used player psychology to build personas for the new platform in collaboration with the team at Discord, allowing us to understand the different use cases for our game.

I observed play patterns and play times during soft launch, and made fundamental changes in the way multiplayer worked to better suit the audience.

The team and I used user data analysis to better understand where the users dropped off so we could iterate and improve on the UX and user funnels.
